With Tokio Kuniyoshi's solo exhibition "REGION FREE," running for three and a half months at Hotel Anteroom Naha GALLERY9.5 NAHA, drawing to a close, we will be holding a pre-closing reception artist talk and networking event.

We will be welcoming Jun Kanna from the architecture industry, who will be in conversation with Tokio Kuniyoshi about his thoughts on his creative process, the behind-the-scenes work, and his perspective on working globally, which are not usually heard.

In the second half of the event, we will be hosting a Ryukyuan dance performance by Chie Fukushima, a performer of Ryukyuan performing arts who appears in one of the exhibition's signature works, "Region Free "Chie Fukushima."" This will be an innovative performance that differs from the usual stage production.

The lounge will be open for extended hours on the day, and drinks and snacks will be available at special prices.

Jun Kanna (Architect / First-Class Registered Architect)
Born in Caracas, Venezuela. After graduating from university, he founded ISSHO Architects, Inc.
Selected as one of "50 Young Architects to Watch" by the UK's Wallpaper magazine. In 2014, she embarked on the "Shin Minka MAKER" project, a study of wooden architecture in Okinawa.
In 2016, she launched the inn project SHINMINKA Villa.
At the same time, she relocated to Okinawa, her homeland, and continues to create architectural spaces that combine sustainable design with cultural values ​​rooted in tradition. In recent years, she has received the Okinawa Architecture Award Main Prize and the JIA Environmental Architecture Award Grand Prize.

Chie Fukushima (Oknawan Traditional Tonal Dancer / Ryukyu Performer)
Appeared in a commercial for Orion the Premium, featured in NHK's "Ippin" Okinawa/Bingata, and in a special feature on Okinawa in PEN+ Okinawa, "Okinawa: A Journey to Visit Craftspeople Who Convey Their Feelings." She also appeared in TRAVEL BOOK and is the successor to the Okinawa Prefectural Intangible Cultural Property, "Ryukyu Opera."

MI-TSU- (CARIB SOUL)
A regular member of "CARIB SOUL," a DJ party featuring Jamaican music from the 1960s and 1970s, MI-TSU- is responsible for the music selection and design, with a focus on vintage styles.
He has made guest appearances at DJ events both in and outside of Okinawa, as well as outdoor festivals such as "GOOUT CAMP RYUKYU" and "OURSONGS."
In 2024, he and his wife began operating their own sound system, "MORITA's HI-FI."
