Work Commentary:
“I remember with surprising clarity the silence and temperature of the room, the scent of the bedding, even the way the dust danced, when I lay dozing in my childhood home bed on an ordinary day.”
This is an illusion; what I believe to be real might simply be conveniently edited within my brain. Still, I find myself wanting to return again and again to that moment that felt so comfortable to me.
While confronting these patchwork memories, I moved my hands, trying to grasp my original landscape. The unstable fragments of memory that surfaced feel connected to more than just the scenes I remember.
