Artist's Statement:
Cartwheel Galaxy is the result of drawing lines with a squeegee and then repeatedly dripping and splattering paint over them. The paint used is straight from the tube, in its pure, unmixed form. The large physical movements create the squeegee marks and paint layers, while the glass and glitter particles scattered across these layers form multifaceted surfaces. Ultimately, the canvas's surface becomes an accumulation of light covering its entire expanse.
