Work Commentary:
I create paintings by engaging delicately with the elements that compose the canvas̶motifs, materials, colors, and the placement of pigments. Focusing on the inherent properties of materials, I dye fabrics by hand or layer them twice,repeatedly selecting and preparing them to complement the unique qualities of each motif. Through meticulously layered brushstrokes and paint faintly soaked into the fine-textured fabric support, the resulting pale, blurred imagery transforms the subject into a weak, faint, inconspicuous presence. Like roadside flowers enveloped in dazzling light or atmospheric layers until their substance fades, the subject is rendered delicate and subtle.

Born in Mie Prefecture, 1997.
Completed Master's Degree in Fine Arts, Painting, Kyoto University of the Arts Graduate School of Art and Design, 2021.
