Experience a traditional Okinawan indigo dyeing workshop. Create a one-of-a-kind piece using Ryukyu indigo, a craft passed down through generations.
This Ryukyu Indigo Dyeing Workshop is run by the Ryukyu Indigo Research Institute, where Ryukyu indigo is grown from scratch and dyed using traditional methods.
Experience the unique texture and texture of each dye, which cannot be achieved with chemical dyes. You can also dye your own items. Experience the tradition of Ryukyu indigo and create a one-of-a-kind dyed item!

In addition to the items provided at the venue, you can also bring your own clothing or fabric to dye. Please use natural fibers such as cotton, linen, or silk. (Synthetic fibers may not dye well due to poor color retention.)

*Participants are asked to make their own transportation to the venue.

Time: Session 1: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Session 2: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM (maximum of 10 people per session)
Open to both hotel guests and non-guests.

What to Prepare: Please bring clothes you don't mind getting dirty, or a change of clothes.
Note: Gloves and aprons are provided, but there is a risk of dye splashing and staining your clothes. Please note that we cannot provide compensation in the event of dye staining.
