We take you to Higashi Honganji temple, the mother temple of the Shinshū Ōtani-ha branch of Jōdo Shinshū, and Shosei-en, the garden that belongs to Higashi-Hongan-ji.
These are hidden places even for people living in Kyoto.
We share various interesting points not only about the temple and the garden.

When you go east from our hotel around 20 minutes on foot, you will find a Toyokuni shrine.
This place, where the biggest buddha statue used to be, is deeply linked to one of the most famous warlords called Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
We explore the history based on the clues of some place names in Kyoto.
