A Suite Embodying the Spirit of Okinawa
The suite features a hinpun, commonly found at the entrances of Okinawan folk houses. Beyond shielding the home from outside view, it also serves as a talisman against evil spirits, which are believed in Okinawan folklore to travel only in straight lines. The space also incorporates Bingata textiles, yachimun pottery, and other elements of Okinawan folk art and craftsmanship, adding authentic local touches throughout.
