【Important Notice】Apologies and Notice Regarding Delivery of Unauthorized Message via Expedia Messages
We have confirmed that our management system of Expedia was subjected to sending unauthorized mail in this morning.
We have also noticed that messages directing some customers to a phishing site were randomly sent out via Expedia Messages.
Currently, we have been investigating this incident to address the details promptly and ensure the safety and security of our customer’s information.
【The Chronology of the Incident】
Early morning on 10th April 2024, we have confirmed that messages containing URL links were delivered through our management system of Expedia.
After confirming this incident, we immediately changed the login passwords for the management system. Since then, we had not been reported that the unauthorized mails were sent.
We have also sent messages to the customers who received the relevant messages and advised them not to access the URL links.
【Future Actions and Measures for Prevention of Recurrence】
We have been investigating this incident with relevant authorities to clarify the cause and take necessary measures to prevent any future occurrences.
