Our name, “Yuen,” is a Japanese word meaning “origins.”
A “ryokan” is a place where travelers are met with a meal and a place to rest.
The origin of the “ryokan” is, in a sense,
the “omotenashi” hospitality culture of Japan taking physical form.
It is a calm, quiet space, born of an austere and simple design, possessed of a minimalist beauty, that welcomes all five senses across all four seasons.
