京の縁起物、組紐。
組紐とは、絹糸を組合わせてできる紐の事です。
京都・宇治にある昇苑くみひもでは、
1948年に和装の帯締めや髪飾りを作る工房として始まって以来、
伝統を繋ぎつつ時代に応じた商品開発を行ってきました。

糸の染色から糸の撚り、組上げまでを一貫して国内で行い、
組紐作りの大部分が熟練した職人による手仕事で支えられています。
当館の客室用の鍵にも、階ごとに異なる組紐を使用しております。

kanra shopでは、この組紐を使ったキーホルダーを販売しております。
こちらのキーホルダーは1本の長い紐で作られており、
ほどくと3m50cmもあるそう。
巻き始めと終わりが見えない事から
「縁が切れず続く」という意味が込められています。

Showen Kumihimo LLC is located in Uji city in Kyoto. Kumihimo is a string combined with a yarn, which is traditional crafts in Japan. Their goods has spread in various ways with traditional genuine skill and develop the new goods depending on the times since they started the factory, which made hair accesory, Obijime(belt for Kimono) and so on. These colorful key chains are made by a long string, which length is about 3m 50cm surprisingly. Because you cannot see the both sides of string-end, it implies the bond does not end but continue.
