【Further Notice】Apologies and Notice Regarding Possible Leakage of Customers’ Personal Information Due to Unauthorized Access and Delivery of Message Leading to a Phishing Site
We have discovered that a person with malicious intent has accessed Booking com (headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands) managed by SOKI KANAZAWA (hereinafter referred to as “our hotel”) which is operated by our company. As a result, the personal information of some customers was viewed, and damage was caused, such as sending messages directed to phishing sites. We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our customers and related parties.
1. Investigation result
In cooperation with Booking com, we have investigated the cause and details of the damage. As a result, there was no unauthorized access to the management system, and it was found that there was no possibility that the customer’s personal information (including credit card information) included in the accommodation reservation information in the management system was viewed by a third party.
2. Requests to customers
From the management system, we found that there was no possibility that the personal information was viewed by a third party, but the third party used the e-mail address(Note*1) for sending and receiving Booking com messages to send phishing messages.
We ask that customers continue to refrain from accessing the attached URL link if they receive a suspicious message.
*Note 1) This is the e-mail address that is automatically assigned for sending and receiving messages when you make a reservation on Booking com and is not your own e-mail address that you registered with Booking com.

3. Our response
No unauthorized access was confirmed this time, but in consultation with Booking com, we took security measures (recreating accounts for the management system, changing passwords, etc.). We also provided training to employees. Going forward, we will continue to further strengthen our measures.
