Yoshiaki Imamura
Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1984
1994: Became interested in unidentified creatures
2003: Enrolled in the ceramics department at Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts
2007: Became interested in minerals and glass, which change as they melt in the kiln
2013: Opened a studio and resumed experimentation
Since then, he has been blending and melting various minerals, developing sculptural expressions that take gravity and heat into consideration.
At the same time, he creates vessels using parts molded from junk and objects collected from various countries.
